Kapil Nirmal (born 23 November 1980) is an Indian television actor[1] who is best known for his portrayal of Yudishtir Shishodaya (also known as Kunwar Yudishtir or Yudi) in the star plus hit serial Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat produced by Rashmi Sharma Sunrise Telefilms.

Kapil was born in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. He is the oldest of two brothers. Before deciding to follow a career in acting,Kapil did a post-graduate degree in Marketing.He has worked in the corporate world for a year and a half befor joining the tellywood industry.Kapil once aspired to join the Indian army but unfortunately he flunked his maths paper twice so he later dismissed the idea. He has won the AXN extreme award 2006 for climbing the top of the tower, Mr Jaipur 2002 and silver medal in best body building.
This Jaipur-born dude began his acting career with ETV Rajasthan's show, 'Ina Meena Dika', then he went on to do a telly film, 'Roop Ki Rani'. Kapil then shifted to Mumbai where he worked with Reliance (Reliance Big Pictures). His first break as a lead happened with the show 'Shakira'. He portrayed a police officer ACP Abhay Singh on the bindas channel. This show did not go down well with the Indian audience due to the fact the lead actress played such a macho police officer image. The show was taken off air a few months after starting. This role of the dashing police inspector gave him the opportunity to fame as soon he got a call from the producers of the show 'Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat'.
It's the role of Yudishtir which shot him into the limelight.Here he played a prince who did not desire to fall in love but destiny made him love someone so insanely.Here one saw all the transitions to his character from a dutiful son,he moved on to play a true lover to a supportive husband & brother and lastly a loving father.Between all these phases he also got a chance to play a simpleton and later a revengeful cameo of Narayan. The show gained him lot of popularity and the love of his life, Anjali Abrol.
Kapil also participated in the season 4 of 'Nach Baliye' along with his onscreen cum offscreen sweetheart Anjali Abrol.They were popularly called as "Dark Horses" and were among the top 4 contestants.They are fondly called by their fans as "Kanjali".Completely being from non-dancers, they started their journey slowly but gradually carved themselves into judges as well as audience's heart.
Kapil also participated in the second season of 'Zara Nachke Dikha'.He has also done a small guest appearance in the show 'Tere Liye' as a part of Kaali celebration.
Kapil played one of the main leads in Imagine TV's show 'Pardes Mein Mila Koi Apna' which was coincidently produced by Reliance Big Pictures.Here he played the character of Sarje Rao, who was a ruffian, full of aggression, completely different from his soft spoken Baraat avatar. With this role, Kapil proved what a versatile actor he really is.
Presently he's playing the lead role of Surya Rana Singh in Colors show 'Na aana is des laado' which is produced by Shakuntalam Telefilms.His character will have grey shades in the initial stages but later will turn positive.
